For my conference, I chose to highlight massive iconic architecture and the social and economic benefits that these structures can have for a city's image, commerce and tourism--thus empowering that city with influence and credibility. I chose Singapore as the epicenter for this conference due to their incredibly small amount of surface area yet abundant and even exuberant iconic structures. Through the power of beautiful and extravagant buildings, the city and community have gotten to benefit from the massive amounts of tourists and business that follows, leaving many to be in awe of how in a little over 60 years, Singapore has become a travel destination to many.
My brand for this conference, highlights the narrative that these phenomenon are not by chance but designed with extreme intentionality. The identity surrounds these monolithic architecture feats that are well known in Singapore and amongst the world's finest architects. The colors were inspired by Malay and Chinese colors symbolizing good fortune and centrality while also having a tropical tone which the attendees of the conference would experience while staying in Singapore.
