Other eclectic work
I love design and oddly enough, occasionally I design as a break from design. Here are some random eclectic projects I've worked on that don't warrant their own pages/briefs but represent a light heartedness I think is essential to my creativity. Enjoy!
Suzzalo Library Graphic
A fun exploration of converting one of UW's most famous libraries into low fidelity line art. Breaking down complicated architecture into simple curves and angles is a satisfaction that's hard to match. Also got to experiment with animating the graphic in the video above!
Squish-able Stuffed Animal
Ideated and won a contest put on by a company that crowd sources odd stuffed animals and distributes world-wide. On the right is a prototype (we elected to make it Neapolitan) which Squishables has produced and plans to release in the next couple months. You may ask why I did this? Imagine receiving a stuffed animal from the person who designed it. Best Uncle Ever.
POP-UP Coffee & Comics
A simple brand for a local coffee and comic book shop in Wilbur, Washington. We went for a classic timeless treatment that can hopefully appeal to all people. Some initial directions on the left and some sweet vintage ink on the right. Currently open.
Starbucks Card Collector
An inside look at a friend of mine who has collected a whole lot of Starbucks Gift Cards. Told in the above video in under a minute and a half. This was made about two years ago for a class but it still makes me happy each time I watch it!
Primary mark and type lockup for a new Seattle Poke restaurant opening up in 2017. Stay Tuned!
